The Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM) is recruiting a student for August 2026 for the Calibration Laboratory. This lab is responsible for the calibration of meteorological instruments within the Observations department.
The student will be responsible for:
- Investigating a new calibration method for thermometers in a sealed air environment, including understanding the temperature profile, stabilization times, and related thermodynamic behaviors.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is proficient in Python programming.- Is comfortable working in a physical laboratory environment.
- Must be dynamic, communicative, and results-oriented.
- Must be at least 20 years old as of August 1, 2026. We
Offer:
Salary: monthly (NDA1)
Hours: full-time (38 hours/week), a workday consists of 7 hours and 36 minutes.
